Admission and Registration

In order to enroll a child for a position at Iqra Childcare and Preschool, the parent must provide detailed information about their child through our online registration system. Our form is available in our website, if any one made a special request, our administration team will provide the link through email. Registration information must be reviewed with the Director before the child may attend the program. Spaces will not be held by verbal contract, registration fee and deposit must be paid in order for a spot to be held for you and your child. If you wish to reserve a spot for your child, we will require a $100 non-refundable registration fee and a $100 deposit. This deposit will go towards your first month’s fees if your child attends the centre. Spaces are not saved for children who are leaving the centre during the summer months or for extended periods of time during the year.

Subsidy

The Child Care Subsidy Program is a service provided by the Government of Saskatchewan. The subsidy is paid directly to the nursery to reduce the monthly fees billed to the eligible family. The subsidies vary on a sliding scale based on income – the lower the income, the higher the subsidy. Families will receive an application form if needed during the registration process. We recommend that all parents apply and see if they are eligible. Filling in the form and submitting that application to the family is their responsibility. Eligible families are responsible for submitting payment slips, completing new applications and notifying the grants office of any changes. If you qualify for the subsidy, your child must attend child care for at least 36 hours a month. The age of the school is 20 hours per month. Subsidized families are required to pay the parental allowance before the 5th of the month. Child care fees will be paid in full for the first subsidized month and each month’s subsidy will be generated as a refund and applied to the following month. If the subsidy is not approved or suspended, parents are required to pay the full cost of childcare for the month in question. Failure to pay fees will result in the termination of your child’s place and the balance will be sent to collections. This happens if two payments are missed and the balance is not paid in full by the 15th of the second month.
