Health and Safety
Iqra Childcare and Preschool prioritizes the health and safety of children attending the child care. We do not allow the use of aerosols or pesticides in the presence of children and will not allow children to use areas where pesticides have been applied until it is safe. Public areas like parks must be inspected for safety before use, and any potential hazards must be addressed. The childcare and preschool requires non-toxic arts and crafts materials and encourages regular hand washing practices for children, including before and after eating, playing, and using the toilet. Staff must demonstrate proper hand washing, diaper changing, and food preparation techniques. The childcare and preschool uses diluted bleach solutions for disinfection and thorough cleaning measures in cases of communicable diseases. Toys and equipment are regularly cleaned and disinfected to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Additionally, the center has a head lice policy in place, where infected children are cared for separately until their parents arrive and the nursery is properly cleaned. A video surveillance system has been installed in the nursery to ensure the safety of everyone.
